This committee shall be responsible for examining the books, accounts, and financial records that the Treasurer maintains; verifying all of the bank statements of the association with funds received for dues; submitting a report to the board; and submitting a cumulative report at the end of the fiscal year for the board to present to the membership.
This committee shall prepare a budget based on committee and board requests at the August Board meeting. This committee will also plan any needed fund raising activities.
This committee shall consider all written proposed changes of the national, regional and council bylaws and shall present them to the association with recommendations. It shall also review any local association bylaws changes and submit them for approval.
This committee shall be responsible for publication of an association newsletter on a regular basis, maintenance of the association website, and record retention. It shall also assist in providing information related to local, council, regional and international IAIP activities to members.
This committee shall recommend and supervise educational programs and courses of study in insurance and related subjects. The Education Committee should promote IAIP programs.
This committee shall plan the member meeting held in December. This is usually a non-business meeting and the purpose is relaxation, networking and charity.
HORIZON PLAN COMMITTEE
This committee shall recommend goals to the board of directors to further the purpose of the association and IAIP as outlined in Article II of the IAIP bylaws. The committee shall also submit a survey to members periodically to determine satisfaction with programs, meeting arrangements and organization of the association.
This committee shall promote membership in the association. The committee may provide assistance in organizing new associations.
NAIW WEEK COMMITTEE
This committee shall provide and plan for an Employer Appreciation banquet in May to promote IPMM and IAIP. The committee is responsible for selecting a venue, arranging the meal, and confirming guest speakers. The goal is to promote IPMM and IAIP to employers during IAIP Week in May.
This committee shall recruit members to serve as officers in the association and prepare a slate of officers to be voted on at the April IPMM meeting.
This committee shall be responsible for developing programs for each regular monthly meeting, including locating a speaker for the program. The quality of the programs must remain high to offer members the kind of information they need professionally.
PUBLIC RELATIONS COMMITTEE
This committee shall foster public relations and shall submit news items and photos of association activities to local press and insurance industry media. The committee will also be responsible for promoting IAIP’s Community Focus, including the IPMM scholarship.
